About Us
DIL Canada operates under the auspices of a Canada-based Board of Directors. DIL Canada was granted tax-exempt status by the CRA on June 1, 2010 – registration number 84448 0467 RR0001. DIL Canada ’s programs are implemented in collaboration with DIL Pakistan which was registered in July 2000 in Pakistan under the Societies Registration Act 1860. All members of the Board of Directors are volunteers and serve without compensation.

Developments in Literacy (DIL) delivers transformative education to underserved children in Pakistan—especially girls—by operating high-quality schools, empowering local educators, and innovating technology solutions to ensure that every child succeeds.
DIL has a 4-star rating by Charity Navigator, and is ranked among the top 6% of charities in North America that have maintained that rating for four consecutive years. DIL takes great pride in its school and program monitoring system and has always maintained complete financial transparency.
