DIL Hong Kong Chapter’s Annual Gala
An inspiring evening at the DIL Hong Kong Chapter’s Annual Gala at the Conrad Hotel, co-led by @mehreenanaveed and @zehramr, the event raised funds to support free schools in Khairpur and Orangi, with plans to expand even further.
A special highlight was a heartfelt Fireside Chat with legendary musician @faisalkapadia shared his musical journey and passion for championing education, especially for underprivileged girls.

U-Go's Female Scholars
DIL is proud to partner with U-GO to expand opportunities for young women from low-income backgrounds. Through this collaboration, we have awarded 344 scholarships to highly motivated students who demonstrated strong academic potential and faced significant financial constraints. Together, we are building a pipeline for their advancement and long-term success.
Afreen: Harvard Graduate
n May 2025, Afreen Mushtaq graduated from Harvard University with a Master’s in Education Policy and Analysis—a powerful milestone in a journey that began in one of Karachi’s most underserved neighborhoods. Afreen spent 12 formative years at a DIL school in Orangi Town, where her talent and determination were nurtured. With the support of dedicated educators and her own relentless drive, she earned a full scholarship to IBA Karachi, one of Pakistan’s top business schools. In 2024, she became a Fulbright Scholar, gaining admission to Harvard.
DIL secured 2nd position in the @steampakistan
DIL secured 2nd position in the @steampakistan_ (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) competition organized by the School Education and Literacy Department, Sindh Government. The competition focused on creating innovative and functional science models. DIL’s participation highlighted the creativity and technical skills of its students, showcasing their potential in the fields of science and technology.
